CNC Mill Set-up Machinist

Job Description:

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for setting up prototype and production work for CNC Mill including vertical, horizontal, and 5 axis machines.
• Setting up vertical machines with 4th axis rotary table.
• Be familiar with CNC machine G and M codes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• A deep understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
• Use inspection tools to monitor dimensional accuracy
• Provide training on workflow and operation methods for junior operators.
• Self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision.
• Inspect qualify and use standard work methods to ensure quality such as Pre-control and process control methods.
• Own the jobs on the floor. Work with Programmers, Machinists, Detail, Planners, QC Personnel, and all other ATM team members to assure good quality parts are made on time to meet customer expectations.
• Always work to the company policies and procedures and have the ability to recite the company Quality Policy and know of some of the Company Objectives.

Job Requirements:

In addition to the above, the successful machinist will have a strong background in machining and the ability to run CNC machines efficiently producing good quality parts. Working knowledge of the latest CNC processes and tooling is necessary. Working in and with the team and communicating clearly and professionally with co-workers is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $39.00 per hour
